As a self-professed lazy girl when it comes to skincare, I do my best to find the best products that do the job without much work. I love products that work double duty, and if it works to moisturize my skin on top of whatever else it’s doing, it’s an immediate yes from me. What can I say, I’m easily pleased.
On the flipside, I also have an affinity for trying everything I can get my hands on. If it’s under $20 at Sephora, it’s probably in my cart or I’ve already picked it up on an impromptu Sephora run. (There is a Sephora every couple miles in Chicago — I can’t get away!) Every new trend, weird eyeliner, new lipstick shade, and up-and-coming brand finds its way into my makeup bag eventually.
Affordable, dual-purpose beauty is basically a match made in heaven according to Amazon. I already order everything else I could ever need from there (books, workout gear, home decor, fashion — you name it, I’ve ordered it.), so why not add some beauty products to my cart while I’m at it? After some serious scrolling, I found my nirvana: the K-Beauty department.
Amazon is a one-stop shop when it comes to Korean skincare, makeup, and haircare. So, if you’re all about the 10-step skincare routine or just love a quick and easy beauty routine, keep reading. We found the best stuff. (I’m a little biased, but I’d say it’s the best!)
Collagen Coating Protein Treatment
Go with this hair mask if your hair has been touched by the sun a little too much or is dried out from bleaching or other treatments.
Intrinsics Petite Silken Wipes
If there's anything I learned from Korean skincare, it's that everything you put on your skin should have a purpose and should feel nourishing, including your cotton rounds. These are very similar to expensive versions I've seen at Sephora and work just as well. They're so soft and make putting on your toner feel like you're at a spa.
Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sunscreen
This budget-friendly sunscreen is incredible for beginners. It has a natural, almost-matte finish and is perfect under makeup. It also works well as a primer for oily skin!
Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask
You can use this as an overnight mask, a super creamy face wash, a wash-off mask, or (my personal favorite) as a thick, nighttime moisturizer for glowing, soft skin. Made with Propolis Extract and beeswax, this product is amazing for reducing redness and soothing irritated skin.
Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
This cleanser is an Everygirl reader favorite for a reason. It's pH balanced for the skin on your face, which helps with breakouts and keeps your skin barrier in tact and healthy. This also contains a little salicylic acid to naturally exfoliate the skin!
Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
Snail secretion is a powerful skincare ingredient that is very popular in Korea, so once this product hit the states, everyone was intrigued but skeptical. Our minds are all changed because this product is like no other. It replenishes the moisture of the skin and nourishes it in a way other ingredients have never done before. We know it's weird, but trust it — you're going to fall in love.
AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
Because there really is nothing like a spray-on toner when the last thing you want to do is put on your skincare.
Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence
This essence has the same ingredients as essences over $100 more. Elderly sake brewers are known to have smooth, wrinkle-free hands, which they've been able to trace comes back to an ingredient similar to Galactomyces. Over time, this essence will improve the clarity and texture of your skin and is amazing at anti-aging.
Rice Water Light Cleansing Oil
This is a great oil cleanser for anyone who's new to the double-cleansing method. It's moisturizing while also removing any makeup left over on your skin at the end of the day. When it comes to skincare, sometimes the basics are exactly what you need!
Essence Toner
I called in backup on this from our Assistant Editor Abigail: "I've never been a toner-hater — I grew up enjoying that stripped-down feeling of astringent — but this toner has made me see the error of my ways. You can feel cleansed, prepped, AND moisturized from a toner, and this one is proof of that. It's a more gel-y texture than liquid, but it glides on and dries very quickly. Use it after cleansing but before masks and serums — it will help your treatments better dissolve and will leave you supple and happy." BRB, buying for myself!
Aloe Soothing Moist Toner
Aloe is a great ingredient for soothing irritated skin, making this toner perfect for people with sensitive skin. If the other toners on this list seem a little too harsh for you, give this a try.
Collagen Essence Face Mask Sheet Set
The sheet mask craze started in Korea, and I'll stand by that they're the ones who know what they're doing. This set is beyond a deal. Containing 16 different masks — you'll get to try every single one before deciding which is your favorite.
Freshmade Watermelon Face Mask
This wash-off mask works amazing for oily and acne-prone skin. Watermelon is vitamin and antioxidant-rich, as well as helps control oil control and minimizes pores. The scent is also phenomenal — you'll be sad to take it off!
Peach Sake Pore Serum
If pores are a main concern in your skincare routine, try this. This is a great product to add to your morning routine, as it contains silica powder to give a matte look that lasts throughout the day. It also contains peach extracts which help prevent acne, reduce acne scars, help with anti-aging, and reduce free-radical damage.
20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Forget high-end Vitamin C serums — this one is just as good at a fraction of the price. If you want a brighter complexion but don't want to pay a high price tag, this product is the one for you. It contains Vitamin C, Ferulic acid, and hyaluronic acid, so you'll see results pretty fast!
Panda's Dream So Cool Eye Stick
Puffy eyes have met their match! You know those days when even the best concealers can't help your undereyes? This is the trick. This cooling eye cream helps to de-puff and hydrate the eyes. Use before bed to help you relax, in the morning before makeup, or even during the day for a little pick-me-up.
No Pore Blem Primer
This is one of the best pore-filling primer on the market, hands down. If you don't want to mattify your whole face, simply press this into the areas you want to tackle.
Perfect Cover BB Cream
BB creams originated in Korea and have become one of our favorite makeup staples. This one has amazing coverage that looks lightweight and natural on the skin. It also contains a high SPF that's perfect for summer days!
Peri's Ink Velvet Liquid Lip Tint
Lip tints and stains are one of the biggest beauty trends this summer. This lip tint is comfortable and lightweight while still having a vibrant color that lasts all day long. The fuchsia shade is my personal favorite, but you also can't go wrong with a classic red!
Lovely Cookie Blusher
Etude House is a popular Korean skincare brand, but their makeup is also amazing! This blush is incredibly long-lasting, making it perfect to pop on the cheeks on a hot summer day.
The Little Book of Skin Care: Korean Beauty Secrets for Healthy, Glowing Skin
This isn't technically a beauty item, but this book is just as important for beauty lovers. The author is Charlotte Cho, the founder of Soko Glam and one of the reasons K- Beauty has erupted in the United States. If you want all the ins and outs, go with this first.
