We’re obsessed with sneaking a peek inside our friend’s bags — from suitcases to work totes to makeup bags. This week, we asked our glow-obsessed Editorial Assistant Josie to spill what’s in her makeup bag — turns out it’s mostly skincare (classic Josie). She shares her top hydration tips, her favorite exfoliation methods, and the one product she absolutely cannot live without.

Designer Clear Makeup Bag
One of my all time favorite prints — I'm a Chanel girl (without the Chanel costs) —
on a gigantic bag (TSA approved!) is the only thing I would ever keep my makeup in.
Retexture Peel Packets
Try using peel pads in the morning instead of washing your face. It's a gentler way to exfoliate and get out all the gunk, and gives you such a refreshing face to start your skincare routine for the day.
Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea
Sometimes a girl just needs a spritz of something refreshing in the morning! This one has ingredients like aloe and cucumber to help calm any redness and irritation.
Complexion Mist
Another mist to spritz, but this one is more focused on boosting glow and radiance. I like to layer them for extra benefits and hydration.
Radiance Serum
This is the most hydrating serum I have ever found (and I've tried a lot!). It feels velvety and smooth, and locks moisture and antioxidants into skin.
Balancing Moisturizer
I love this balancing moisturizer from Murad. It's one of the few SPF moisturizers I've ever tried that isn't greasy or oily and smells delicious. It feels breathable and hydrating.
SPF 20 Age-Defense Eye Cream with White Tea
Eye cream with SPF is CRUCIAL, but isn't as common as it should be. This one is natural and has anti-aging properties which I love, since the skin around the eye is so thin, it needs extra moisture.
Cucumber Hydrating Gel
I keep a travel size version of this gel with me at all times, especially on airplanes. It's a gel, so it goes on matte but is extremely moisturizing.
Antioxidant Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 50
I cannot obsess about this sunscreen enough. It is an amazing formula with zinc, loaded with antioxidants and caffeine, and makes me look oh so glowy. It also does not come out greasy or thick like most sunscreens.
Makeup Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream Tinted Moisturizer Face Makeup
This stuff really is magic, and I mean it. It works more as a mattifying tool (important after all my skincare steps). It also blurs any imperfections and evens skin tone. I usually use this in place of foundation.
Eyebrow Razor
They're cheap, they're cute, they're called "Tinkle"... what's not to love!? These are the perfect size and shape for gently shaving face and shaping eyebrows.
Breast Cancer Awareness Slant Tweezer
Why would you use a tweezer that's not Tweezerman? I love this one that supports Breast Cancer research, for plucking the occasional stray eyebrow hair.
Jade Roller
My life's greatest obsession — I love adding jade rolling to my morning routine because it's great for lymphatic drainage and getting puffiness out of the face.
Rose Gold-Toned ProCurl Curler
I have to curl my eyelashes to make my eyes look more awake and my eyelashes look longer before putting on mascara. It makes a huge difference for me! This one's just extra pretty in rose gold.
Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller
This under eye concealer feels great because it's applied with a cool little rolling ball. It depuffs while covering dark circles.
Voluminous Primer
I recently discovered that starting with an eyelash primer helps so much with protecting eyelashes and preventing breakage. I love this one because it gives an extra voluminous look.
The Falsies Mascara
I've been using this mascara *literally* since 7th grade. I just can't bring myself to use anything else! It works better than any other mascara I've ever tried, and at this point it's the longest relationship I've ever had.
Amazonian Clay Foundation
I'm infamously not the biggest foundation fan. I hate feeling like I have something caked on and my skin can't breathe. But I love this foundation because not only is it light and blends flawlessly, but it has Amazonian Clay so it's actually good for your skin too!
The Original Beautyblender
This cult product is a game-changer for blending face makeup. I get a little water in mine first, for a dewy look, and then blend foundation for a flawless finish.
Fit Me Concealer
This concealer stick conceals my horrible under eye bags better than anything. It's a creamy consistency and will cover anything — I dare you to find something it won't completely cover!
Contour Kit
I contour because the Kardashians told me to — don't we all? But this kit is easy to follow and easy to blend. I love the powder form because it's easier to use than creams.
Volumizing Eyebrow Gel
This brow product is so great because it comes out super natural. Nothing is worse than overdone eyebrows, and this tool makes it easy to have filled in, thick, but natural brows. It's super easy to use and stays on forever.
Contouring Brush
This brush is perfect for contouring! The angled bristles give you just the right lines.
